Job Summary
1 To prepare Bill of Quantities based on materials, specifications and design drawings, and to enable quantify measurable items for the project in order to submit competitive tenders for the execution of work.
2 To prepare computerized Bill of Quantities based on the design package documents reference to HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Irrigation System, Storm Water & Drainage Disposal System, and Medical Gases System, including associated mechanical equipment for health care facilities and public building project.
3 To finalize computerized Bill of Quantities, and shall fit purposely & addressed to a particular project under design.
4 To consult with his superior regarding technical and administrative aspects to ensure task given him meets schedule in time & complies the project drawing plans and material specifications.
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
* Minimum of 5 year experience in preparation of Bill of Quantities in a medium to large scale projects preferably in Health Care Facility, Public Building, or equivalent.
* Preferably with 2 year experience either in Construction company, or Engineering Consulting Firm.
* He must be familiar and well versed in international codes such as with ASHRAE, UBC, NFPA, ANSI, ASTM, SMACNA, Uniform Plumbing Code, HTM 02-01 Part A & B, 2006 Complete Collection of International Codes version1, Master Specs of American Institute of Architects.
* He must be familiar and well versed with MODA General SpeCifications of Saudi Arabia, or other branch of Ministry in Saudi Government or equivalent is an advantage.
* He must be computer literate; familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word Excel Work Sheet. |
